Thank You

Howdy friends and fellow crafters.  Like I've said before I'm playing catch up on my cards lol.  Here is just a simple card to say Thank You to that special person.  I used a white for the card base and then layered it with an elegant silver.  The fun part of this card was the embellishments on the front.  I die cut the same design 4 times, ran it through my creative Xyron Station, stuck all 4 together and then cut the design in half.  Yep just cut it right in half, I used some embossing ink and then dipped it into silver a couple of times and then get this just dropped a bit of gold in area's.  I think it's too cool.  Then I embossed the word "Thank You" on the front and there ya go.  Hope you like it?

Thank You

Happy Birthday

Howdy friends and fellow crafter's.  I've been a busy beaver here lately but always have to take time out to craft.  A day would not be complete without crafting.  Ok now onto my card, I used pink for the main card and used a peeled painted look for the background.  I used my new die and stamp set from Stampendous and I fell in love.  I used a watercolor technique with my distress markers.  I added a few pearls to the corner's and in the middle of my flower.  I had so much fun painting these that I even added one on the inside.  Hope you like it.

Happy Anniversary

Howdy friends and fellow crafters.  Well, here is number 2 of the 11 Anniversary Cards I'm making for my hubby on our 11th Anniversary.  It's very simple, I used some romantic silver paper and embossed it with this elegant background.  Then I die cut 8 little banner flags and put them together one on top of the other to hold the letter's "LOVE".  Around that I used a silvery studded frame with a blue bow at the top.  I embossed the word's Happy Anniversary in Denim Blue and then added some white see through flowers with a bit of bling.  I hope you like it even better I hope hubby likes it.

Time to Celebrate

Howdy friends and fellow crafter's.  It's been awhile since I've been crafting due to an illness but getting much better.  So for me it's "Time to Celebrate" woo.hoo, coming up in June on the 7th, will be our 11th Anniversary.  7-11 has to be a lucky year, right?  So I'm on a challenge to make 11 cards for my hubby.  Here's the first....I used the Color Me Clock card topper and used color box chalk inks in cheeky, clover and periwinkle to add some color to the front.  Wow alot of "C"'s in that one.  Then I cut out around the front to make it unusual, but then I had to make a prop on the inside so it would stand up.  Then I punched out some hearts and attached them to some translucent strips so they would float when the card was open.  With a total of 8 hearts I added a cupcake with 3 candles on it to make 11.  Hope you enjoy this one.

Mothers Day

Howdy friends and fellow crafter's.  I hope your week is going good for ya'll.  Mine has been a little slower than normal.  Or maybe I'm just a little slower. lol  Either way I did manage to turn out another Mother's Day card.  I tried one of the Card Toppers from Hot off the Press and painted it with my gel sticks, I think it turned out pretty cool.  I then attached it to some chocolate brown card stock and added some bling.  I used some pearls at the bottom edge and used a mauve colored one in the middle of each flower and then used a gold for the "M" in Mother's.  I hope you like it.

Happy Mother's Day

Howdy friends and fellow crafter's.  Wow what a weekend it has come and gone so fast it doesn't seem like I got a thing done.  I just want to quickly share with you a sweet little Mother's day card I made for one of my daughter in-laws.  I used the color purple for the base, I added an embossed white piece that I also trimmed the edge.  I used some mulberry paper in shades of purple for the band and cut out the design with a die.  I added a few simple flowers which always top off a card perfectly.  I hope you like it.

Happy Mother's Day

Howdy friends and fellow crafter's, I sure hope that your week is going great.  I've been busy going back and forth to doctor's but it's all good.  I took some time out to make a Mother's Day card.  I have lost my mom about 2 years ago now but she was an awesome mom for sure and is missed more and more everyday.   On the other hand I have the most awesome Mother in-law and just love her to death.  She is german, very out spoken and works very hard for family and church.  Love her so very much and I feel blessed to call her mom.  Ok now on to the card lol.  I used the color black for my base and then added paper from the Paper Studio line.  The bottom layer is from their Classic collection and then I took a scrap piece I had laying around of a beige color and cut a frame freehand and then put a liner with a black corrugated paper on which I added some Sookwang tape and attached it to the inside of the frame.  I then added a piece of paper from the Printery collection.  I added a couple of burlap flowers on which I added a different brad into the middle of the flowers.  I used my cricut to cut out the Happy Mother's Day and used some pearl embellishment for the bling effect.  I finally used a set of rub-on's I've held onto for just the right reason, I rubbed the top part of the women and then added the skirt over and used some gel effects over the top of her and the women that was added onto the inside.  Hope you enjoy.

Discover new beginings

Howdy friends and fellow crafter's.  I sure hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  It was so nice here, the only rain we got was in the first of the morning while we were asleep.  So that left the whole day for us to work together on house projects.  Well now of course I had to make an excuse to be in the craft room to finish putting together a book card for my Step-daughter's Graduation.  I used some grunge board for the base and covered it with the paper collection called "Once Upon a Time".  I also wrote the verse that is on each page, together it reads like this, "As time goes by You grow inside, You bloom in the Spring You want to Fly High,Until the next Window opens in Life For you to Fly by.  On the Cover I used some flowers in shades of mauve or browns, I mixed 3 types of ribbon and tied a ting bow, I also added some bling. The 2nd page has pic's of clocks and I also added inside parts to a clock.  Then added some lace around the   boarder.  On the 3rd page I added some little flowers and also some tiny butterfly's spreading their wings and then in the corner I added a diploma.  Finally on the last page I put a banner reading "The Graduate" and an embellishment of a graduation cap.  I tied this all together with distress Ink around all the edges and a ribbon to keep it together.

Love is in the Air

Howdy friends and fellow crafter's, well here it is Friday wooohoooo.  Hubby is getting home early and hopefully finishing my stamp pad rack, plz plz.  I had company most of the day but still found some time to put a sweet little card together.  Since it's such a nice spring day it just feels like Love is in the Air so that's what I named this card.  I used paper's from the Once Upon A Time Collection along with some red velvet strips on which I used some glass gel effects and some pearls.  I added a few little sweet flowers and there ya go.  Hope you like it.

Happy Birthday

Howdy friends and fellow crafter's, I hope that this week is going by wonderfully for ya'll.  For myself it's been a beautiful week so far.  I was able to go out and plant some beautiful flowers in some very large pots we have out back and now looking forward to doing more planting out in the front.  Ok back to the fun stuff....card making and sharing.  I am still learning about what to put with what and how to incorporate different mediums, paper's, embellishments and interesting items together.  Any advise in the comment sections are very much appreciated and please be honest.  On this card I used the butterfly stickers from Dazzle and colored in the open area's with my new Wink of Luna Metallic paint pens (love them).  Then I used some holographic green paper for one ribbon and the other I used a scrap that I received from a dear friend that moved away and brought 4 boxes of items over for me.  The cream colored ribbon has a raised gold row of like stitch marks going through it, I also used my Distress Ink in Antique photo to age around the card and the cream colored tag.  Then I flipped the cream colored paper over and stamped Happy Birthday with a gold ink.  I hope you like it.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday

Howdy friends and fellow crafter's, I hope this finds everyone just loving the day.  I actually went outside and worked a bit in our yard.  The doctor might not like me to do that just yet but it was fun.  Shhh.  Back to my Happy Birthday card, this is a very special card for me, it is going to our 9 year old granddaughter.  She went to Disneyland for her birthday surprise and had a blast.  I had a set of die cuts left from Hunkydory and I thought it would make a beautiful birthday card.  I used some left over papers I have laying around for the backgrounds.  I used Inka Gold in silver to highlight around the center circle and also around the edges of the other 2 blocks.  I used some bling in the upper and lower corners to add some extra sparkle.  On the inside of the card I used the bottom corner of one of the papers I had and added the words "with love".  I sure hope she likes the card.

Happy Birthday

Merry Christmas

Howdy friends and fellow crafters.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend.  Myself, I was just grateful to be out of the hospital finally.  I couldn't wait to get back into my craft room and start playing again and well this is one card I came up with.  I used a number of paper's from Hot off the Press and added some glitter to the front of my black snow flake to make it sparkle some.  I'm a bit out of practice I reckon but getting better everyday.  Thanks for viewing my creation.

Happy Birthday

Howdy friends and fellow crafter's, well I'm still in the hospital.  Was put in last Wednesday had some surgery yesterday (Monday) and have to stay until Thursday I was told.  But, I had made a card the day that I was put into the hospital but never had a chance to post it so here we go from my hospital bed let's see how my memory does me.  I used a soft pastel rose background and then took a piece of pink paper, stamped it with memento's pink ink and used clear embossing powder for make to honeycomb pop.  Then I used a tag I had laying around that had Happy Birthday on it and attached it with a pink ribbon.  I then used my cricut to cut some butterfly's out of some flowered paper and used the foiled punch out from the tag for the butterfly's body.  I try to never waste a thing.  I had an extra butterfly cut from some pink poka dotted paper that I attached inside the card and stamped the definition of birthday onto the center.  I hope you like it and I sure hope to be home soon to make some more cards.

Happy Birthday

For Someone Special

Howdy friends and fellow crafter's.  Wow Wednesday and what a wonderful day outside.  I thought I would share this beautiful basket of flowers with you that I put together.  It's put out by Dreams of Spring and looked a lot easier than it was.  I added layers of flowers to help it look really full and use a ribbon at the top.  I attached a cute tag for Someone Special.  Hope you like it.

Happy Easter

Howdy friends and fellow crafter's, I hope you've had a great Tuesday.  Mine has been a very busy one for sure.  I did although find some time to make oh 7 cards.  OMG!! Now I know why I hurt so bad.  While sitting and drinking some coffee this morning I looked outside and heard and saw the birds playing and singing.  That gave me an idea for an Easter Card so here we go....I started with some Washi Tape and just lined the top and bottom on my white background,  I then found this beautiful rose paper for the background.  I remembered that I had some cute embellishments stashed so I drug them out.  I used a bird cage with 2 birds singing and decided to do some 3-D effect.  I added a white bow and a special tag that said, "A Note to Say" and on the inside I stamped "Happy Easter".  Can't get anymore to the point than that.  Hope you enjoy.

Happy Easter

Just Because

Howdy friends and fellow crafter's.  I really love the words, "Just Because" think about it you can use it for so many different occasions.  On this card I tried one of the Color Me card toppers and tags.  I colored them in with chalk in shades of blue and lavender.  Doesn't really show up good in pictures but I also added little lavender circles with glitter on them throughout the front and tag.  I also choose to use 2 different types of flowers as one and tied a small lavender bow to top it off.  I hope you like it.

Merry Christmas

Howdy friends and fellow crafter's.  This weekend seems like it just flew by.  Yay.....we finally received rain today, they were saying that the water supply is down to under 400 days.  Pray for rain for us here in Texas.  Ok so today I worked on a Christmas card that I am ready to share with ya'll.  I was in TTCRD watching and reading the latest issue of this wonderful magazine they put out and wow the knowledge there is unreal.  I learned how to do a few different pop-out cards but this one I had to do some figuring myself because their example was a heart.  Here we go...I used some 80 lb. green card stock for the base of my card.  Then I used a red, green and beige stripped paper for the main background along with some red with poka dots for the center stripe.  I used my Distress ink in Antique Photo to accent the outer edges and carried it onto the stripes.  I attached white paper on the inside to write on, and a traveling santa on the front center.  I hope ya'll like this one.

Merry Christmas
