Date Night Invite

Howdy friends and fellow crafter's, I hope your week is going by quickly and looking forward to a wonderful weekend.  Speaking of the weekend, how many of us would love to have an official date night?  I know I would.  So I thought I would make a card for my darling hubby to surprise him for a wonderful date night.  Good idea right? Here what I used.... This wonderful Color me musical notes paper from HOTP I just love adding color to this stuff.  I used my distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar for my background and toned it down with some tea dye.  I used some of Tim Holtz idealology embellishments and then I found an old pair of broken earrings that had a heart with the word "Love" and 3 keys hanging from the bottom of the heart that hubby had given to me years ago.  (I wonder if he will recognize them).  I took the colors of Ink and dyed a strand of ribbon and put it along the edge to pull things together.  Wish me Luck oh and I hope you like this one if so please leave a comment.

    Wow, what a wonderful idea Bobbie and what a wonderful card! I love that you used an earrings that hubby gave you, great idea for the broken pieces of jewelry we might have in our jewelry boxes. I hope your date night was a great one! Hugs
