Thinking of you

Hi Friends, this week has been a week of thinking of my parents.  We lost my father 8 years ago on the 25th and 2 years ago my mother on the 26th.  So this week has been hard for our family.  So I though I would do a card that my mother would have loved.  Years ago I started messing around with polymer clay and really started doing very well with it until my father was gone and then it was hard to concentrate.  My mom loved flowers so this one's for you mom.

I used white card stock and used a Dew Drop in Grape Jelly to shade the edges of the card.  Then I used a piece of Vellum with grapes and thoughtful sayings all over for the front.  I then choose a selection of dollar store flower pieces in white and purple for the center I used a brad with pollen like fuzz to attach the flower to the card.  I made a simple tag with "Thinking of you" for the front next to a giraffe that I made out of polymer clay and he is holding yet another flower a lavender rose.  I know my mother would love it and I hope you do also.  Thanks.

  1. Bobbie, this is a most beautiful card with all the details you have added to make it such a special remembrance of your dear Mom. This is always a hard time when anniversaries of this kind draw near. It doesn't get easier with time, just more bearable. I hope that helps comfort. This was a lovely way to keep your Mom's memory bright. TFS & Hugs.
